I know exactly what this api is for and if you actually read the article you’d see that I repeatedly say that fetch api does what it is designed for well. This whole article is about fetch being a good low level api and that people shouldn’t expect other things from it. Whether you prefer to write your own abstraction over it or use a tool that other smart people wrote that already deal with most of those things is up to you. Whether people should use external libraries for such things is out of scope for this article, but you can keep throwing unrelated terms like dependency hell while I deal with my own pain of asshole fatigue.
